Cucumber Recall

Late yesterday, the PJCSD Food Service Department was notified that cucumbers purchased through a vendor on May 6, 2025, are included in the FDA's recent recall. Unfortunately, due to the timing of the notification, the affected cucumbers had already been served and consumed.

We immediately consulted with our school nurses, and we are pleased to report that no students have reported any symptoms of illness. While this is reassuring, we take food safety very seriously. We are actively working with our vendors to ensure that future cucumber purchases are not affected by the recall and that all produce provided to our students meets the highest safety standards.

The health and well-being of our students remain our top priority, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.
