On Monday, October 24th, students from Port Jervis Middle School and High School attended the Orange County Red Ribbon Ceremony at the Emergency Services Center in Goshen. The focus of the day was drug prevention and good decision-making. This event is spearheaded by ADAC (the Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Council) of Orange County who uses the Red Ribbon Campaign to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a drug-free America. After taking in all the program had to offer, a stop at Ben’s Fresh for lunch and ice cream was the perfect ending to the day! High school students in attendance were PJHS SADD officers and members of the Port Jervis Youth Coalition (PJYC). Students were chaperoned by Port Jervis Middle School teachers, Rick Graham and Kelly Decker, and Port Jervis High School faculty, Jen Grismer, Cathy Lane, and Carolyn Dorritie.
