A Message From Your Principal

Dear Port Jervis Learning Community,

The new school year always brings with it excitement and possibilities, and the 2022-23 school year is no exception. The capital project is well underway and we will be welcoming the middle school onto the 209 complex.  This collaboration opens up new opportunities to all members of our learning community.

This year will be filled with academic challenges, athletic competitions and artistic endeavors. Our faculty and staff are excited to work with your children and will provide support necessary for student success.  We look forward to celebrating our students’ efforts and accomplishments as they extend themselves and push to new limits.

Student engagement improves academic performance, so as always, we encourage our learners to participate in school activities.  Whether it is through sports, clubs, enrichment programs or community service, there are a multitude of opportunities available.  Our students will once again have the opportunity to build on their digital portfolio, recording all of their community involvement in Passport for Good. 

Finally, the school-family relationship is central to the learning community and one we greatly value. This collaborative relationship is paramount to your student’s success.  The PJHS team is available to you as we work to create a positive educational experience.  We look forward to seeing you at our school events and working with you throughout the year!
