No Charge PJ Summer Lunch Program Letter, 2024

Dear Port Jervis Families:

Port Jervis City School District is pleased to announce the No Charge Port Jervis Summer Food Program for the summer of 2024! During the summer, all school-aged children will be eligible to receive food at no charge through the Summer Food Program. If you have an incoming Pre-K or Kindergarten student and have not received your child’s PIN number, please call the Food Service Department at 845-858-3100 x3896.

The No Charge Port Jervis Summer Food Program will begin on Monday, July 8, and continue through Thursday, August 29, 2024.  Children who participate in Summer School or Extending Learning will receive their no-charge meals while they are attending school. Once summer school ends, the students who attended will be able to pick up food for the last two weeks of August.  The last pick-up for all families will be August 29, 2024.

Meal pick-up is easily accessible at the 209 campus and HBE parking lots under the food tents on Monday and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. 

  • Monday meals:  3 breakfasts, 3 lunches per child currently in the district.
  • Thursday meals: 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches per child currently in the district.

To sign up to receive the meals, please fill out the Google form here or scan the QR code. Each child in the household enrolled in the district is eligible to receive these no-charge meals. Please have cash or check for adult food purchases.
