English Language Arts 7
English 7 focuses on the development of each student’s reading, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills through balanced literacy. Students analyze an array of texts including poetry, narratives, essays, and articles. Through the writing process, students develop skills such as analysis and reflection. The ability to develop an argument using relevant textual evidence is emphasized. New York State Grade 7 English Language Arts Assessment will be administered in April.
