Course Description: 

This course is designed as a third year science course. All science students who take this course must also take Earth Science B. This is a basic earth science course that is intended for students who have not taken regents earth science. Emphasis will be on the formation, safety issues and history surrounding natural events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and volcanoes. The course will be student-centered with assessment based largely on student research and projects. The final is a local final exam. Prerequisite: Students must have completed the Living Environment course. Students who have taken Earth Science cannot enroll in this course.
