Prerequisites: Students must have completed a minimum of two years of science and earned a passing grade on the Regents Examination in Living Environment.

This course is designed as a third year science and is based on the interaction between organisms and the environment. Topics in the course include the following; introduction to environmental science, ecology, humans and the environment, Earth’s resources, and sustainability. Laboratory exercises are designed to help students gain a deeper understanding of the concepts presented. The final is a local final exam.
