Dear Parents/Guardians of BOCES Career-Tech Students,
BOCES Career-Tech Students / Transportation
Orange-Ulster BOCES has announced that they will progress to a five (5) day per week in-person instruction model beginning May 3, 2021. As a result of this change, effective May 3, 2012, Port Jervis CSD will return to the traditional model of transportation to and from the O-U BOCES campus. It is important to highlight that this change in the transportation model includes the elimination of the mid-day bus transportation for BOCES students. Specifically, all BOCES buses will depart and return to the Port Jervis High School campus. Students requiring bus transportation from their homes will take their regular bus to the high school and board the BOCES bus to travel to the Goshen campus. All students attending the BOCES program will return to the Port Jervis High School following their C-Tech program.
Buses will not transport students to their homes following the AM BOCES program and students that attend the PM BOCES program will only receive transportation from the high school campus.
Students that are in the Remote Model may continue to remain in this model, however, effective Monday, May 3, 2021, transportation will no longer take place to and from their homes via the BOCES buses.
If there are any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s school counselor.
Thank you,
Mike Rydell
Superintendent of Schools
