Memory Project Video

Art students at Port Jervis High School, under the direction of Art Teachers Eleanor Horst and Liz Maloney, along with nearly two thousand young artists throughout the United States, participated in the Memory Project.  This project was designed to grow friendships through the Arts.  Our students were given pictures of students from all across the United States and were tasked with recreating the photo as a portrait, which in turn would be collected and sent back to the young student.  As you will see in the video, the children were excited to receive their portraits and fully understood that by creating them, our students cared about their well-being and their future.
