Congratulations to 8th grader Sydney Garcia and 7th grader Anaya Texidor on winning the Port Jervis Middle School Virtual Spelling Bee! A total of 16 finalists from both grades participated in the spelling test run by the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Both girls will compete in the Orange Ulster BOCES Spelling Bee in March where they will face other top spellers from around the county. The winner of that contest will be given an opportunity to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee held in Washington, DC, in May.
