ASK: Publishing Party

Ms. Markle and Ms. DiToto's class at A.S.K. celebrated the end of their writing unit with a publishing party!  Each student wrote a letter to their future selves. They wrote about their goals and dreams as well as what they enjoy now. They began by completing graphic organizers and then utilizing those tools to complete a personal narrative. Then they edited and eventually typed up their letters. They created illustrations to accompany their narratives. We then compiled all their letters and illustrations and sent them to be published into a book. We celebrated this great achievement with a publishing party where each student read their narratives to other students as well as teachers and administration. We couldn't be more proud of our authors!
