- Kids must be at least 7 years old to participate in the summer program.
- Permission forms must be filled out before participation.
- Permission forms can be picked up at the Recreation office, the Youth Center Rec. Room or they can be emailed.

Lunches will be delivered to Church St. Park and the Youth Center each weekday at 12:00 pm.
This program is FREE to Port Jervis School District Students or Port Jervis youth ages of 18 and under!!
The Port Jervis Recreation Commission will open West End Beach (weather and beach conditions permitting), located on the beautiful Delaware River on Thursday, June 27, 2025, and close on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
West End Beach schedule:
- Monday, Thursday, and Friday 12:00 pm -6:00 pm
- Weekends 11:00 am-6:00 pm
- West End Beach is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Certified lifeguards are on duty during beach hours
West End Beach Guidelines
1. There is a $15 parking fee for all non-City of Port Jervis residents Weekends beginning June28, and July 4. The parking fee includes all vehicles.
2. No Alcoholic beverages permitted.
3. No Smoking or Vaping
4. No Pets
5. No Glass bottles permitted.
6. Swimming is NOT permitted outside the designated swimming area or when there is thunder or lightning or when lifeguards are off duty.
7. No inner tubes or floatation devices. No charcoal grills.
8. Appropriate language and behavior are expected of all swimmers, MUSIC MUST be played at a low level.
9. Swimmers under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
10. The beach schedule is subject to change.
NEW this year CHURCH STREET PARK SPLASH PAD
Cool down this summer at our new SPLASH PAD at Church St. Park. Escape the summer heat with brothers and sisters and friends. Hours of operation TBA. As is the case in all city parks- NO PETS or SMOKING is permitted. We anticipate a grand opening on or around July 1, 2025.
FREE Outdoor Movie Night- Riverside Park
Presented by: River City Church and PJ REC Wednesday - July 30- movie TBA
Arrive by 7:00 pm. Bring blankets, chairs, and snacks. Movies start at sunset.
Farnum Park Concerts
Broome Street Wind Ensemble Band will perform 3 FREE concerts at Farnum Park on Mondays- June 30, July 14, and July 28. Concerts will be held at 7:00 pm. In case of inclement weather concert will be held at Drew United Methodist Church. Concerts sponsored by: Port Jervis Recreation
Food Truck and Fireworks Festival- Riverside Park
Thursday, July 3, 2025, 5:00pm- 10:00 pm at Riverside Park. Fireworks start at approximately 9:30 pm from PT. PETER
Come experience some of the Tri-States best food truck vendors. Taste everything from savory to sweet. While enjoying your food live bands will be playing on stage starting at 5 pm. At approximately 9:30 pm enjoy fantastic fireworks from the peak of Point Peter. There is a $5 entrance fee to the Food Truck Festival. For more info: pjfoodtruckfireworks.org.
PJ REC Field Day
Wednesday August 6, 2025 @ Church Street Park starting at 10:00 am (Rain dateThursday, August 7, 2025). Enjoy a FULL day of games, contests, food, and drink!! FREE of Charge.
Transportation for all trips on CHARTER buses with air conditioning, bathrooms, and a DVD player.
NEW York METS Baseball Game at Citi Field- SOLD OUT
The New York Mets vs. San Francisco Giants Friday August 1, 2025. The game starts at 7:05 pm. The Charter Bus will leave Port (parking lot next to Walgreens) at 3:15 pm sharp! The bus will return at approximately midnight. The cost is only $115.00 per person. This includes tickets and transportation. Seats are Section 128 Rows 20-24. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older. Limited Tickets available. Sorry, THIS TRIP IS SOLD OUT.
Liberty Science Center
Friday July 18, 2025. The Charter Bus will leave Port (parking lot next to Walgreens) at 8:00 am sharp and will return approximately 5:00 pm. Cost is only $65 per person. This includes transportation, general admission and the planetarium show. Additional exhibits are available at an additional cost. LSC is a 300,000-square-foot learning center located in Liberty State Park on the Jersey City bank of the Hudson near the Statue of Liberty. The Science Center houses 12 museum exhibition halls, a live animal collection with 110 species, giant aquariums, a 3D
theater, live simulcast surgeries, hurricane- and tornado-force wind simulators, and the Western Hemisphere's biggest planetarium, the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium and LSC Giant Dome Theater. Limited tickets available.
