4th Annual America the Beautiful Festival at New Century
2026 America the Beautiful Art & Writing Contest
Create an original artwork or piece or writing that reflects the values of liberty, freedom, and the American spirit - through your own story.
You can create:
- A personal story, poem, or essay
- An illustration or artwork
Ideas to Explore:
- What makes you proud of your country
- How you experience freedom in everyday life
- How you serve your family, community, or country
- Stories of military members or first responders in your life
This is about your voice - your story - your perspective.
Selected works will be displayed at the America the Beautiful Festival, and winners be featured in local publications.
Grade Levels:
- Elementary (K-5) - Art Only
- Middle School (6-8) - Art & Writing
- High School (9-12) - Art & Writing
Prizes:
America's 250 Award - $250 Grand Prize (the best from all art & writing entries)
Elementary (Art only): 1st $75| 2nd $50 | 3rd $25
Middle School (Art & Writing): 1st $100 | 2nd $75 | 3rd $50
High School (Art & Writing): 1st $150 | 2nd $100 | 3rd $75
All winners receive free parking passes to the festival.

- Format: JPEG (Art) | PDF (Writing)
- Art size: 8.5" x 11"
- Writing: Max 500 words
- No AI permitted (entries will be checked)
- File Name Format: title.lastname.firstname.school.grade
