This is a message going out to all of our Port students and families who have a child/children who attend a school out of the PJ district regarding transportation times and release times for Monday, April 8, 2024. This is the day of the solar eclipse in the afternoon. Some schools are closed and some are releasing early.

- Middle School & High School – Dismissing at 12:30 P.M.
- Elementary Schools – Dismissing at 1:30 P.M.
- Out-of-District Special Education Schools
- Abilities First – Hyde Park – Closed
- Abilities First - New Windsor - Dismissing at 12:00 Noon
- Kaplan Career – New Windsor – Picking up Port Jervis students at 12:10 P.M.
- BOCES:
- Goshen – Gibson Road – Picking up Port Jervis students at 12:30 P.M.
- Goshen – Arden Hill/MAF/Chester (P.M.) – Harriman Drive/Chester – Picking up Port Jervis students: Chester at 12:15 P.M. and Arden Hill/MAF at 12:30 P.M.
- Goshen – Main Street/Arden/MAF/Including Communities – 227 Main Street/Harriman Drive – Picking up Port Jervis students: Main Street at 12:25 P.M. and Arden Hill/MAF/Including Communities at 12:30 P.M.
- Chester – Picking up Port Jervis students at 12:15 P.M.
- Middle Hope – Newburgh – Picking up Port Jervis students at 12:30 P.M.
- Otisville – Dismissing at 12:30 P.M.
- Pine Island – Picking up Port Jervis students at 12:30 P.M.
- Rockland BOCES:
- Hilltop – Haverstraw – Dismissing at 11:30 A.M.
- Jesse Kaplan – West Nyack – Dismissing at 11:45 A.M.
- Sullivan County BOCES – Liberty – Sullivan BOCES is now closed (notified 4/4)
- Center for Discovery – Monticello - Closed
- Center for Spectrum Services – Ellenville - Dismissing at 11:30 A.M.
- New York School for the Deaf – White Plains - (our student is currently transported by Marlboro School District)
- Reach Academy – West Harrison – Picking up Port Jervis student at 12:30 P.M.
- Private/Pre-K Programs
- Homestead Hollow – Glen Spey – Picking up Port Jervis students at 12:30 P.M.
- New Life – Matamoras – Picking up Port Jervis students at 12:30 P.M.
- Head Start (with Sullivan BOCES) – P.J. Pre-K Students – Picking up students at 1:30 P.M.
- Project Discovery – Dismissing at 12:00 Noon – P.J. Pre-K Students
- Program/Late Bus Changes
- We will not be transporting High School students to the P.M. C-Tech Programs at Gibson Road and Arden Hill BOCES.
- The ARCH/ACES Programs at the High School and Middle School are canceled.
- There will not be any late buses from the High School/Middle School at 3:45 P.M. and 4:45 P.M.
