Students in Mrs. Patterson's 3rd-grade class learned about kindness/bucket filling, empathy, and compassion through the character education program and other classroom activities. They discussed ways that they could be the "sunshine" in someone's day. They each came up with an idea that they thought would make someone feel better if they seemed like they were upset or having a bad day. They did an awesome job coming up with how they could be kind and caring toward others.
