The students in Mrs. Niosi's 4th-grade class have had so much fun learning about how other countries around the world celebrate Christmas. The students worked with partners to research information about a variety of countries and learned more about the special foods, family traditions, and festive fun facts specific to that country. Some of the countries the students chose to learn about were England, Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, Canada, Mexico, Sweden, Brazil, Ukraine, and the Netherlands! They also learned about other holidays celebrated at this time of year such as Diwali, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa! The class really enjoyed getting into the holiday spirit and comparing and contrasting how the other countries' traditions are to their own family's holiday traditions!
