Ms. Cody’s 2nd Graders have been studying different life cycles in their science unit; frogs, plants, and butterflies! They dove even deeper into studying the 4 stages of the butterfly life cycle (egg, larva, pupa, and adult) by observing live caterpillars during their metamorphosis into butterflies! Throughout their observations, students wrote and drew what they noticed as the caterpillars changed and formed their chrysalis. Once all the butterflies finally emerged, they had a special release celebration! Check out these beautiful Painted Ladies in their final stage!
