ASK: Win-Win Walk-A-Thon

All seven third-grade classes at ASK recently held their annual "Win-Win Walk-A-Thon". The students got sponsors and walked laps at the high school track to raise money for The Outdoor Club of Port Jervis. Incredibly, the students were able to raise $1,785.72! The students were very excited to learn that the money will be used to help fund the new Disc Golf course that is being constructed at Riverside Park. In addition to reinforcing the importance of physical fitness, the children learned the value of community service and that no one is too young to make a difference. The walk-a-thon was truly a Win-Win! In the picture is Chip Estenes, the vice president of The Outdoor Club of Port Jervis, and the top earners from each class: Matthew Hockenberry Jr., Francesca Vicaretti, Kaya Kastner, Olivia Range, Alex Hulsey, Mason Brace, and Timothy Birish. Great job Third Graders!
