BIG Apple Crunch 2017

Port Jervis Schools Promote healthy eating by chomping on Apples

October 19th 2017 - Port Jervis, NY - ASK participated in The Big Apple Crunch on Thursday, October 19th. ASK joined millions of New Yorkers around the state and crunched into a New York grown apple to celebrate New York Food and New York farms! They also celebrated National Food Day which inspires Americans to change their diets and our food policies. Schools and businesses all over the state took a "collective crunch" into a New York Grown apple to set a world record. We would like to thank dieticians, Mrs. Kelly and Carley from the Shop Rite of Montague and Monroe who donated all of these apples to ASK and helping us spread the word of the importance of good nutrition and leading a healthy lifestyle.
