Type of Appointment To Be Made: Probationary

Salary: Base Salary Starting at $30.70/Hour (As Per CSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement)

Requirements of Applicants (include all pertinent prerequisites):

  • Completion of 60 credit hours of study at a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university and 4 years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment repairs OR
  • Graduation from a vocational technical or trade school with a concentration in automotive or heavy equipment repair and 5 years of experience as defined in A.
  • Graduation from a high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and 6 years of experience as defined in A.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined in the limits of A, B, and C above.

General Statement of Duties: This is skilled work involving the responsibility for repairing and maintaining a variety of light and heavy equipment, trucks, and other school owned and 
operated equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of 
Facilities Ill with latitude for independent judgment. Does work as required.
