This course offers students the chance to explore the exciting world of child development. Students study the growth and development of children from conception to age six. They understand the ways in which the personality, attitudes and abilities of a child are shaped and developed. Using these basic concepts they plan, prepare and present activities suitable for the ASK Kindergarten classes. Experiences include taking care of the Real Care Baby and wearing the Empathy Belly. Recommended for all students whose interests or career goals include psychology, counseling, social work, education or human services.
