Course Description:
This course will continue to reinforce the necessary skills to prepare students for the challenges and complexities of both college and career readiness. Contemporary and traditional writers of both American and European literature of various genres will be studied, and a critical development of the Next Generation Learning Standards for English and Language Arts will be the primary objective. As part of this process, students will read, discuss, analyze, interpret, and write about all literature covered. In addition, a research paper of a contemporary issue is a course requirement. No Prerequisite.
