PJHS Alumni Association
We are excited to announce the launch of the Port Jervis Alumni Association. Our mission and vision are to foster meaningful connections between alumni, current students, and staff. We’ll be creating opPORTunities for mentorship, internships, job placements, class visitations, field trips, donations, scholarship contributions, and more, ensuring that our alumni can be connected in different ways to the school community that helped shape you.
Purpose: To formally connect Port Jervis Alumni with current students and staff through ongoing engagement and shared opPORTunities.
The Why: Port Jervis has a proud tradition of graduates who make positive contributions to their professions and communities. An active alumni association will help strengthen community ties, celebrate alumni achievements, provide role models and mentors for current students, and build long-term supPORT and partnerships for our schools.
Goals:
- Create connections for our Port Jervis students, staff, and alumni: mentorship, career exploration, internships, and future job opPORTunities for students through connections with our alumni. In short, create a Port Jervis version of “LinkedIn.”
- Maintain communication with graduates and keep them connected by providing information about district news and events, celebrating alumni accomplishments, and sharing the good news of both the school and alumni.
- The opPORTunity for alumni to supPORT school and district initiatives through participation and volunteerism, class and school appearances, both in person and virtually, class trip connections, and more.
- Participation opPORTunities in fundraising efforts, donations, naming rights, scholarship offerings, school, campus, community projects, and more. Examples are alumni bricks for walkways, light post banners, benches, collegiate athletic jerseys displayed, art projects, etc.
Structure: Our communication platform for the association will be ParentSquare, a powerful tool we already use in the district, along with our Gmail and Google platforms. ParentSquare offers a variety of communication options, including an app, text, push notifications, and many other user-friendly ways to participate and communicate.
There are two simple steps to join:
Step 1: Create an account in Parent Square and join the Alumni Association Community Group within Parent Square. This will allow you to receive emails, app notifications, texts, etc. You may select your notification preferences. This will be our primary source of communication. We will share alumni updates, news, celebrations, and participation opPORTunities through Parent Square.

Step 2: Fill out the PJHS Alumni Association Google Form. Fill the form out here or scan the QR code.
This will add you to our alumni database, which will serve as our method to contact you regarding opPORTunities for connections with staff, students, and other alumni. These could include visiting and speaking with a class, internships, career days, hosting a field trip to your place of business, college, or job connections, sponsorship offerings, giveaways, mentoring, and much more.
One goal of this alumni database is for PJ staff members to be able to “search” for job, career, internship, and apprenticeship opPORTunities, etc. via the Google form information, and then assist a student who might want to go to a specific college, type of work, or into a field that an alumnus may have listed in the form. The database will initially only be available to PJ school personnel. We are exploring ways to make it safe, streamlined, and available to all PJ alumni and, eventually, HS students.
