June 24, 2026 - Corporal Jonathan Gould
Graduation is such a special night for all of our graduates--we are so proud of them and happy for their families--and this year, we'll have one additional special graduate to celebrate.
Corporal Jonathan Gould, on his 18th birthday, walked into the main office at Port Jervis HS, signed himself out, and enlisted to join the Vietnam War. He never got to attend his HS graduation, PJHS class of 1965.
The class of 2026 heard about this selfless act after Mr. Gould's appearance on the 2025 Veterans' Day Port Connects podcast (view here) and invited Mr. Gould to be an honorary graduate with the class of 2026.
He'll be joining this year's graduates through NYS Operation Recognition and the #PortPride spirit of the HS team & class of 2026. You can learn more here.
We are grateful to Mr. Gould for his service and #supPORT all our Veterans & active military personnel.
