Saturday afternoon the Varsity Runnin’ Raiders took part in the Section Nine Indoor Championships. The team posted 12 personal bests, one school record, won nine medals, and produced a double event champion. The girls finished third overall and the boys finished fourth. Our top performers were Dana Clarke (2nd in both 55m and 300m), Kyla Clarke (2nd in the triple jump, setting a school record), Ana Richardson (2nd in shot put), Julyana Sauschuck (5th in high jump), Marcus Best (3rd in the 55m), Ben Straebler (4th in the 600), Liam Tomasi (6th in the triple jump), Alex Kinman (5th in both the 1600 & 3200), Rene Collado (6th in the 1600), Jammy Hong (6th in shot put), Kourtney Kroll (3rd in the 3000), and Roland Zanger (1st in 55 hurdles, 1st in high jump and 2nd in long jump).
