Congratulations to PJHS Senior Braeden Ross who has won the position of NYS Senator for Orange County's Youth In Government program. Braeden won the primary election with his campaign speech video and was the People's Party nominee for this office. He had to record a second campaign video which was then watched by the US History as well as Government classes in the 15 school districts which participate in Youth in Government. Students in these districts voted in a mock election with each district getting one electoral vote per office and Braeden was declared the winner after the votes were tallied. In this position, Braeden will participate in the Orange County Government Day of Service in Goshen on April 8th, as well as be eligible to travel with the rest of the winners to the State Capitol later this Spring for a tour.
