Course Description: 

Students will study clothing as it relates to art, culture and history, social and economic trends. Clothing will be explored as a medium for artistic expression. Students will learn and apply clothing construction skills to increase their own wardrobes with the use of hand and machine sewing techniques.They will learn to use color, line and fabric selection in suiting individual needs; learn and to use a commercial sewing pattern to construct a garment. They will be able to evaluate the quality and design in making personal clothing choices. Careers in this area will be explored as well. No Prerequisite.
