The final exam for this “hands on” course is to present a grand buffet incorporating everything learned throughout the course.This valuable and fun course gives students nutritional knowledge and cooking skills for preparing foods from all of the food groups: Meats, Poultry, Dairy, Fruits and Vegetables and Grains. Food labs emphasize a variety of cooking techniques, healthy choices, wise shopping and food safety and sanitation. Culinary careers will be discussed.
