Course Description: 

Calculus 1-Analytic geometry topics are introduced as needed to carry out the orderly development of the calculus. Topics include limits, continuity, derivatives and differentiation, implicit differentiation, Rolles’ Theorem and Mean Value Theorem, applications of differentiation (related rate problems, optimization problems), First and Second Derivative Tests (relative extrema and increasing/decreasing intervals), points of inflection and concavity, limits at infinity (horizontal asymptotes), curve sketching, differentials, antidifferentiation, area of bounded region using summations, Riemann Sums, the definite integral and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Prerequisite: Completion of Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus.
