Course Description:
This is the second course of the New York State Learning Standards for mathematics. The course will cover congruence, proofs, geometric constructions, circles, coordinate geometry and right triangle trigonometry. Students will take the Geometry Regents exam in June. This exam is strongly recommended for those students intending to pursue a college degree. Graphing calculators (TI-84) are recommended for this course and are used throughout the year and on the Regents exam. Successful completion of this Regents exam is required for an Advanced Regents Diploma.
