The Port Jervis Physical Education department attended the NYS AHPERD Catskill Zone Conference on November 7th at Minisink Valley. The NYS AHPERD Catskill Zone Conference is an event for professionals in the field of physical activity, physical education, school-based health, and wellness in New York State. Programs cover a wide variety of topics and incorporate the most recent findings on how students engage in physical education, health education, and activity programs. Our teachers came back with valuable and innovative ways of adjusting and enhancing our curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies.
With over 200 attendees, PE teachers, Nikki Hartmann, and Jon Foley got to present at the conference on the LU Interactive Playground. And Saige Colon presented a Brain Break about Zentagles.
