Our 8th-grade Life Science students recently explored different areas of campus using the Merlin Bird ID app by Cornell Lab to identify local bird species by their sounds. Throughout the day, all classes combined identified 30 different bird species!
Students will now choose one of these birds as the focus of a research activity to learn more about its role in our local ecosystem, including its interactions, habitat, diet, and adaptations for survival.
