PJMS: Pi Day Competition

Students in Mrs. Davis’ and Mrs. Carbone’s classes celebrated Pi Day (3/14) on Friday, March 13th.

Students measured the diameter and radius of a cookie to calculate its circumference and area, putting their math skills to work in a hands-on way. The celebration also included a Pi digit memorization contest, a puzzle challenge, and even measuring head circumference to calculate hat size using pi!
