PJHS Students on the Local News

On January 26th, 28 Port Jervis High School Students visited the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY while on a Winter Ecology Field trip starting in Lake Placid and ending in SUNY ESF's Campus in Newcomb, NY. The Wild Center is in the running for the Best Science Museum in the USA for the 2023 Readers' Choice Awards. While the students were visiting the interactive museum NBC news stopped in to film a short report on the Wild Center and its nomination. Two students, Rachel Duryea and Timothy (TJ) Fergus were asked to interview for the piece. Overall, every student enjoyed their time at the Wild Center; watching the otters, meeting Tio the Blandings Turtle, the presentation on Climate Change, and taking the Wild Walk outside in the treetops.
