PJHS: Chalk the Walk

The PJ Youth Coalition’s annual Chalk the Walk event was Thursday, April 9th, during lunch periods in recognition of Take Down Tobacco National Day of Action.

Students filled our sidewalks with positive, anti-tobacco, anti-smoking, and anti-vaping messages that promote healthy choices. PJHS is standing up against Big Tobacco companies that target youth with misleading marketing and profit from addiction. This event also kicked off the PJYC's annual vape quitting campaign. This year’s theme is “Take a Break from the Vape” (featuring a KitKat-inspired message). As always, the PJYC encourages students to use the resources provided through the guidance office and our district if they are struggling with tobacco or any other substance addiction.
