PJHS: February Character Trait

For February, the high school character trait of the month is RESPECT. The high school guidance office encourages all students and staff to wear orange on Wednesdays to signify respect, which is how we honor and show consideration and value to people, property, the environment, and yourself. Respect is the ability to treat others well, even if they look, act, or believe differently than you.

Respect Awareness Week – Let’s Kick Off the Month Right!

Monday (2/2): Self-Respect
Respect yourself by making choices that help you grow, stay confident, and be true to who you are. When you value yourself, others will too.

Tuesday (2/3): Respect for Others
Respect is a two-way street. Treat others with kindness and respect, even when it’s challenging—it reflects who you are.

Wednesday (2/4): Respect for Others
Everyone matters. We don’t have to agree with each other, but we do need to treat one another with respect.

Thursday (2/5): Respect for Differences
Our differences make us stronger. When everyone is included and respected, everyone wins.

Friday (2/6): Respect for the Environment
We all share this planet. Small actions and positive choices can help protect our environment for everyone.

Let’s make respect part of our everyday actions—at school, at home, and in our community!
