PJHS: Metropolitan Museum of Art Trip

PJHS teachers Susan Bransfield (French), Randi Liberati (Business), Eleanor Horst (Art), and Liz Maloney (Art) brought 36 students to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 22. There, the College French students looked for favorite artists from their recent project and used their conversation skills to discuss the works of art. Our Art students had a highlight tour of the collection by Ms. Maloney, and also created sketches for a class reflection (pictured), as well as having time on their own to explore. Many students asked for the trip to run again next year and said the collection in the museum was astonishing, mentioning Monet, Van Gogh, the Egyptian Temple of Dendur, and also the Greek and Roman statues, chariots, coins, and sarcophagus were favorites.
