PJHS: PROM Postcard Event

On 5/19, 5/20, and 5/29, PJCSD Prevention Specialist Mrs. Hulse held a PROM Postcard Event with PJMS Librarian, Mrs. Roach.

They invited Mrs. Roach's 6th-grade classes to fill out postcards to PJHS seniors attending prom. Their goal was to have a postcard for all 165 prom guests.  The students went above and beyond, with most of them filling out 2-3 postcards to meet that goal!

The 6th graders were encouraged to write positive messages, why they look up to the seniors, how to stay safe, and to write from the heart...and they did not disappoint!  It would have been great to have a photo of each and every postcard, but trust us when we say they are AMAZING!  The middle school students LOVED this event and thought it was super cool that a senior would be getting their handwritten postcards!

This event was created by SADD and brought to the students by ADAC and Orange County STOP-DWI Traffic Safety Control to encourage each student to PLEASE RETURN ON MONDAY=PROM!
