PJHS: Scavenger Hunt

Port Jervis High School partnered with the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Council of Orange County (ADAC) and the Port Jervis Police Department to hold a scavenger hunt to help our students learn more about teen violence, general violence, mental health, substances, and teen driving while earning prizes.

The students had a blast using their maps to find each of the five locations to earn their prizes. It was awesome hearing them try to figure out the clues in the hallways! Most of them proudly came back to the map table to tell us they had "completed" the hunt!  Big smiles and lots of loot in hand!  They were asked if they had a good time and if they learned anything new and there was always a loud "yes".  In fact, they asked when we will be doing this again!

An additional thank you goes out to Chief Worden, Sergeant Card, and the four amazing officers who participated; Officer Bisland (PJ), Officer Mortenson (PJ), Officer Ede (PJ), and Officer Gochenour (Deerpark PD).
