The Port Jervis High School Character Education Committee would like to recognize the following students and staff who demonstrated outstanding Character during the month of February. Students and staff are nominated when they demonstrate good character.
- For empathy: Douglas Brown.
- For forgiveness: Gabe Torres
- Recognized for friendship: Sandra Taylor, Christopher Thomas, and Christian Rivera.
- Danny Benson was recognized for showing gratitude, while Audrey Shannon, Ms. McDowell, and Mason Oldham were recognized for honesty.
- Many of our staff and students were nominated for respect: Mrs. Croan, Raymond Usera, Bryce Shannon, Alex Valentin, Malachi DeGroat, Yara Shihada, Jed Startup, Ashlyn Overland, Bryce Shannon, Josh Mursalin, Jeremiah Pagan, James Lynch, Mr. Lazzaro, Dr. Marr, and Mrs. Nyland.
- And finally, for showing responsibility, Thomas Caputo, Ms. Dorritie, Mrs. Stankunas, and Rachel Lempka received recognition.
The character trait for March is honesty and staff and students are asked to wear light blue/aqua on Wednesdays to show a commitment to being honest.
