PJHS: December Character Education Recognition

The Port Jervis High School Character Education Committee would like to recognize the following students and staff who demonstrated outstanding Character during the month of December.

For courage, we noted Miley Hutchinson, Rylan Flieger, Audrey Shannon, Danny Benson, and Thomas Caputo. Recognized for friendship were Emma Innella, Jaylynn Reiff, Kaleb Murphy, and Jazlynn Mann. For honesty, Kameron Knesel, Linda Trujillo Castillo, Brayden Simonson, Justin Rivera, and Mr. Lazzaro received recognition and students who were highlighted for perseverance were Sarah Grant, Jamel Little, and Jeremiah Pagan. Mrs. Baumgardner was recognized for respect and for responsibility, Jaslene Cortez, Jenna Whitney, Paige Harrison, and Shumaila Zainab received recognition. Each recipient received an award certificate for a slice of pizza or $2 worth of items at the school store!

We also are pleased to announce that we have a new addition to our Character Education Program! Each month, every nominee’s name will be added to the Monthly Character Wheel of Wonder. With a spin of the wheel, a winner will be selected and awarded a monthly grand prize---a plentiful bag of goodies. Congratulations to our September, October, November, and December winners:  Jessica Sang, Kaitlyn Batzel, Jamia Artis, and Jazlynn Mann.
