ADAC's Prevention Specialist Denise Hulse and Mental Health Specialist Mylene Ortiz spent the day in the high school library on Monday to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month. All students were welcome and had the opportunity to make their own beaded pens, participate in a mental health scavenger hunt, and ask questions. This was an important event to raise awareness and diminish the stigma of mental health. In addition to this event, there is a mental health scavenger hunt happening for the entire month of May. Students should look for the bulletin board outside of the library to play for some fabulous prizes. Winners will be announced on 5/31.
