PJHS: American Museum of Natural History Field Trip

On March 19th, 66 students enrolled in PJHS's college science classes took an educational field trip to the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan. This was our first visit in many years and was a new experience for many of our students. The students attended a new immersive exhibit, Invisible Worlds, which was cited as a highlight along with the Dinosaur Halls and the giant blue whale model in the Hall of Ocean Life. Feedback was enthusiastic from students and chaperones alike, with many hoping for a return visit next year. The trip was organized by Science Department Coordinator Kasey Stankunas and chaperoned by six educators as well as PJHS's own fossil, Joe Johnson, who came out of retirement to join the kids.
