PJHS: Area IV SkillsUSA Regional Competition

In February, PJHS Senior Denise Ennis was one of nineteen Orange-Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) students who earned medals at the Area IV SkillsUSA Regional Competition. Denise finished first place in the food preparation competition.

This annual event featured students from technical schools and BOCES programs throughout the Hudson Valley competing in 38 events ranging from advertising design to welding. Nearly 300 students from various high schools and BOCES facilities showcased the incredible skills they have developed in their CTE program, and Denise came out on top for her program.

As a local SkillsUSA winner, Denise will advance to the NYS Competition in Syracuse at the end of April. The Port Jervis school community congratulates her on this accomplishment and wishes her all the best as she moves forward to the state competition!
