Members of the Port Jervis HS DECA club competed at the DECA Regional Competition on January 4th, 2024 held at SUNY Rockland College. Over 400 students from our region were in attendance at this event. DECA is a student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Students who attend the competition participated in industry-validated challenges that are aligned with the National Curriculum Standards in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism. Port's students who qualified will compete at the state level in Rochester, NY in March 2024. Congratulations to Crystian Hurst, Jayden Melott, Zosia Olenik, Amia Summons, Brayden Simonson, and Gia DeFilippis.
