The Port Jervis High School and Middle School hosted a Wellness Resource Fair on Wednesday, October 4th. Jennifer Grimer, PJHS Social Worker, Deanna Perez-Ruiz, PJCSD Health & Physical Education Coordinator, and Erin Lehn, PJMS Social Worker, all worked to bring community resources and agencies to the student community during lunch periods. The goal for the day was for community agencies to share resources and information with our middle and high school students in an effort to support their overall social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Students were given a 'passport' to have stamped in order to promote engagement. A stamped passport was then entered into a raffle drawing for miscellaneous prizes all donated from various sources, including school staff and the participating agencies. 68 students won prizes that day! We'd like to thank those who participated: ADAC, Fearless!, nutritionists from Bon Secours, Catholic Charities, OC Department of Mental Health and Department of Health, Mental Health Association of Orange County, Planet Fitness, Planned Parenthood and Victory Hill Therapeutic Horsemanship.
