The high school recently celebrated the students in our building who were nominated for a Sojourner Truth Award by their teachers. For the past thirty-three years, in honor of Sojourner Truth, Orange County Community College has celebrated Orange County youth by awarding them for their achievements. SUNY Orange continues to recognize the accomplishments of these deserving students and encourages college attendance as an option for students from groups traditionally under-represented in the college population. All nominated students received Certificates of Recognition from SUNY Orange.
The following students were recognized: Joshua Bergen, Skyianna Blue, William Dean, Noemie Florant, Coral Garcia, Michelle Gimena, Iceiz Hughes, Guiyu Jiang, Penny Jones, Paris Khan, Meghan Lauture, Elijah Majors, Delaina Mom, Yacine Niasse, Francesca Pampalone, Janiyah Payne, Maria Perez, Gianna Rodriguez, Jessica Sang, Ciara Smith, Anny Velasquez Hernandez, and Cindy Zhong. We congratulate them all on their accomplishments.
