On Wednesday, the high school held a celebration honoring the 2022-2023 student Character Education recipients. Throughout the year, these students were visited in their classrooms where their nomination was announced and they were awarded a school store certificate for a slice of pizza or $2 worth of items. During Wednesday’s celebration, each of the ten character traits were reviewed by month, and students were photographed for the trait they demonstrated during the year. Students were awarded certificates identifying their nominator and the reason for the nomination. We ended the celebration with a lot of cheering and an icee treat.
Additionally, thanks to a grant from the Port Jervis Education Foundation, 12 randomly selected nominees received a $25 gift card.
