On Thursday, April 20, 2023, representatives from the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters visited Port Jervis High School Technology Education students to present and discuss opportunities available to students after graduation with the Local 279 and their “earn while you learn” apprenticeship program. Mr. Matt Ross and Ms. Melissa Clark from Local279 discussed training opportunities that allow students to earn tuition-free college credits, career and work experiences, as well as many other benefits afforded to them by joining the Carpenters' Union.
