PJHS: Nike Indoor National Track and Field Championships

PJHS Varsity Indoor Track Running Raider, Junior Constentino Proscia took part in the Nike Indoor National Track and Field Championships this past weekend at the Armory in NYC. He competed in both the high jump and the long jump. Constentino is the 11th Port Jervis athlete to qualify for nationals since 2011 and is the first athlete to compete in two events at a national level. Although he did not move on in the high jump, he made a strong showing in the long jump and finished 39th in a field of the 70 best high school long jumpers in the entire nation. It was an outstanding way to end his season. Constentino, and the rest of the Running Raiders, are coached by High School Social Studies teacher, John Wright. We congratulate Constentino and all the indoor track athletes on an outstanding season!
